Hello, Ive been trying to create a backup of a remote FTP directory from a GoDaddy server to our local server. The FTP connection tests and connects fine, the backup begins, I get a couple dozen files downloaded before the transfer just stops on a particular file (a .gif). The engine appears to still be running when this happens as the Cobian icon in the tray is still spinning. If I cancel the backup, the engine and spinning icon continue. I cant get out of the backup without killing the Cobian.exe.

I've tried excluding the .gif file from the backup job but the backup just stalls on a new file with the same symptoms.

I have set the passive mode options which helped me get the session connected in the first place but I just cant figure out why the backup is stalling. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

This is all the log tells me:

Do you have your "Keep alive" property checked?

I have the same problem with CB 11.
Have you had any luck solving the problem?

I do use NetDrive to map my ftp-source.

No more halts !

I got rid of the NetDrive and used CBs integrated ftp-setup with default parameters.
Actually the netDrive was some "leftover" after trying out several backup software which didn't cope with the ftp->local or local->ftp backup type.

Running faster as well.
