Hi,
I'm a newbie to Cobian Backup, after reading some info about it, I'm a little confused about it's role, it means that whether or not Cobian Backup has server role or client role.

As my understanding, to install Cobian Backup software on a machine as server, and install Cobian Backup client software on other machines as client, where all data to be backed up are located.
And on server side, I start the backup job, and the data from client side was sent to server.

If I install Cobian Backup on one machine as server, and I don't know how Cobian Backup backs up the data from other machine to this server, any ideas?

thanks

Hi,

I am using Cobian to backup several machines to a NAS server. There is no Cobian server side. The NAS server just stores shared folders that are accessed by 'client' cobians on PC'S.

Does this help ?
