You have a Samba share and try to access it with Cobian in Application mode. Everything works fine. In service mode, you get a "Source or destination not found" error. Why?

The Samba partition may not have been mounted for the used running the service. A workaround that could work (Thanks to Silverblue):

Created a user on the windows computer running Cobian Backup who's credentials matches the user you are using on the Linux/Solaris/etc for the shared folder. (ZFS Share)

For instance:
There is a user on the Open Solaris Server, 'SolarisUser' with the password '1234' and it has the read and write permission on a ZFS Share 'backup_pool'.

* Create the user 'SolarisUser' on the windows computer with the the password '1234'.

* "Connect" the cobian computer to the ZFS share:
net use X: \\opensolariscomputer\backup-pool /user:opensolariscomputer\SolarisUser 1234. This can be done, for example in a before backup event

* Use Cobian as a service towards X:
