Re: Creating a Backup Plan Similar to Seagate's Free Agent Backup Software

Re: How Cobian registers failed Pre-backup event?

Well, yes, it reacts for example to a service failing to be started or a program to be executed or a "file not found" when opening a file, etc. Pretty limited, I know.

Re: Expected behavior when writing to multiple destinations?

Just double (or x3 or x4 etc...) the Full copies to keep in dependence of the number of destinations. 2 destinations: 2 full copies to keep, 3 destinations: 3 full copies to keep, etc.

.net 3.5 is not installed by default on Windows 10. You should activate it on the Control Panel- Programs- Enable/Disable Windows features.

Re: File already exists, but cannot be deleted!

I'm just guessing: some NAS systems have a maximum length to the path+file name which could result in funny errors like this one. I saw this on a Netgear NAS I had some time ago where the limit was 256 characters. Not saying that this is your case here, but, do you see the same problem with shorter ...

Re: Rotating backup drives without administrator rights

One hint I can tell you to avoid changing the drive letter of those discs is to use the Label parameter. Change the label of your discs in Windows Explorer to something unique, like: MyBackups. Then, on the destination of the task, you could write as a manual destination: %DISKLABEL="MyBackups":\ Th...
