This is being calculated by the user interface (see the - in the size column) not by the engine. If you have such insanely big numbers of small files, perhaps its a good idea to disable this at Visuals-Show size of task, because every time you change something in your task, the program will re-calcu...

Absolutely the same method is used to install the service in both places. Same procedure called by the 2 programs. Are you *sure* that you introduced correctly the 18 characters long in the setup?

Good. Impersonation will sometimes not mount the drivers so that won't work.

That's interesting. It as an application, the program should behave exactly as it is was you (the user) copying the files. Sorry, no idea then.

You are backing up a root drive (C:\ or D:\, for example). Those drives are sometimes marked as Hidden and System. The old program ignored those attributes. This copies them "as is". Tell Explorer to show hidden AND system files.

If you want to use the mapped drive and not the UNC path, just uncheck this option under the engine tab. But run the program as an application (or as a service but only not under the local service account)
