Re: eMail report does not list number off errors
Hi Todd, I am not sure what you mean. Is there something I can attach that will help? AFAIK, you should attach following files for Luis to understand what is going on : Cobian Reflector tasks list : C:\Program Files\Cobian Reflector\Lists\MainList.lst Cobian Reflector settings : C:\Program Files\Cob...

Re: Copies to conserve / complete and differential backup
Hi Gemetris, Don't forget : by default, the first backup is parked (won't be deleted). the oldest backup is deleted after the new backup is finished. So, if you ask for 2 sets with default settings, you can end up with twice the space used for backups : Backup 1 : parked Backup 2 : not deleted until...

Re: Cannot Cancel Install
Hi Luis, This is my last post on the subject  . The fact that the "Cancel" button is greyed out leads the user (me !) to think that it is not possible to interrupt the installation and he does not even try to click on the cross. I think that the "Cancel" button should be activated when it is p...

Re: RFE: uncompressed attachments option
Todd,
IMHO, the easiest way should be to add " - %ERRORS error(s)" at the end of the mail subject.
You don't even have to look at the mail, the title says it all.

Re: empty archive (inc. backup)
Hi Jonimant, I have the same behaviour : tasks with no compression and "ignore empty directories" all ends up with one empty directory for each "backup part" when there is nothing to backup. So, there are no empty directories EXCEPT for the directories that appear in the destination folder to indica...

Re: why should i migrate to cobianreflector?
The question is - what are the reasons I should migrate to cobian reflector besides the red warning I just noticed asking me to do so ? If it ain't broken then don't change it. ;) Hello mik256, Just keep in mind that someday Microsoft will change something that will make Cobian Backup obsolete. As ...

Re: eMail report does not list number off errors
Hello guys, I would like to add this : @Todd : "Under "normal logging", errors are not shown." ... after each "backup part". @Cobian : "The number of errors IS shown in normal mode" ... but only at the end of the backup. 2022-01-01 00:00:00 * Backup part for task " Happy New Year " ended. Number of ...

Re: Cannot Cancel Install
The behaviour associated with this CanceI button is most surprising: - while entering parameters, it cannot be used to exit the program. You have to use the "X" in the banner. - During the installation of programs and services, it can be used but you yourself say "Canceling the installation could ca...

Re: Cannot Cancel Install
I probably didn't make myself clear. I start the installation program and it asks me for some information (service or application, user, ...). During this part of the installation, data is collected but nothing is installed or changed. So there is no risk to interrupt the installation. However, the ...
