I'm a novice when it comes to regular expressions.
I only have one entry in the exclusions list, which I thought was a regex:
.*\\\build\\.*
In addition I have: 'Ignore empty directories' checked.
Backups are directed to a local drive (not ftp).

I could live with empty folder inclusion but this is not the case. I'm excluding these folder(s) because of their content size. These folders actually contain several mbs with the exclusion mask applied.
