I'm using compression like super-fast or so, as actually space is less a problem in front of security. Encrypted 7zip archives are quite simple yet efficient way to secure backups. So maybe it would be a direction to evolve? For instance: feature to mount/umount VeraCrypt archive?

Are there any plans, chances, scenarios to change this behavior? I'm using Gravity to copy total of ~2TB of data, to movable disk automatically every week. It it compressed with 7zip to keep thing safely encrypted. Although it is horrible slow, in general works fine. Idea of creating ~2TB temporary ...
