Re: MySQL Backups performing

Hello!

If you mean that the MySQL database is on another machine... perhaps, but you need to be sure that the files used by the database are not in use at the time of the backup. Perhaps executing a pre-backup event to stop the database engine and then a post-backup event to start it again may work.

The split option only work with ZIP format if I recall it correctly. I may be wrong on this (need to check the code)

Re: Wont backup network drive.

Is the backup an incremental or differential one? If so and if the file system is not Windows native (ie, NTFS or FAT) then the archive attribute is inexistente and no files will be backed up. Change the backup to Full (or uncheck the use of the archive attribute) and see if it works.

Re: Sorting Issue

Cannot really reproduce the issue. Must the space be at the beginning of the name? The sorting is actually done not by file name but by the whole path ;)

Re: The source directory doesn't exist or couldn't be accessed

Is the task being executed under some other user? Is the service running under "your" user account? I would guess this is a problem with access permissions but' I'm not sure.

Re: How to Change Backup Folder Names

Are you using absolute paths in your task? Is so, it could result in this kind of paths names in some situations.

Re: Communication protocol between Cobian client and the server

OK, version 11 is quite old now so it is using for example TLS 1 which by today's standard is quite obsolete. Don't see any other solution that trying to change the settings at server side to allow connection from older protocols.

Re: ost files not being backed up

I think Windows ignores the OST files for the snapshot for some reason (maybe because this is a copy of the server files), I don't know. Anyway: in the registry (regedit.exe) look at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\FilesNotToSnapshot And delete the *.ost files. Rest...

Re: Full backup job not overwriting old backups

OK, the problem is then that when it's time to delete the previous backup, the operation will fail because the previous backup is not found (it is on the other drive that is offline). I don't see any other option than probably executing a Pre-Backup event that wipes the destination before the copy b...
