Re: Not Creating separated folders with timestamps for each backup when compressing is enabled

It should create separated zip files.. Like

file 2020-12-01.zip
file 2020-12-02.zip
file 2020-12-03.zip
file 2020-12-04.zip
...etc

Re: Incremental Backup

I would set a daily incremental backup with "Use fixed day" on Saturday and Full copies to keep = 2.

Re: Exclude folder node_modules and vendor from backup

Re: Cobian as an application or as a service.

Application vs. service A service is a special windows application that runs even if no user is logged on the system. The service can run under a special account (LocalSystem account) or under some other existing account. On Windows NT-based systems is recommended to run this program as a service. Y...

Re: Second task not seeing changed files.

If both tasks are differential (not incremental) (which is not a good thing if there is no full backup as reference) then both tasks should be detecting the changes.

Hello! Zip compression can always be the source of many problems. In theory it should work if you are using Zip64 on compression (Options-Compression-Zip64 Always). I say in theory because I've seen reports where compressing thousands of files can result in a corrupted archive. Try changing the Zip6...

Re: During backup I get errors for files "access is denied"

Do you add the directories using the Add directory button or using the Add mask? ..Interesting. I'll need to try this one but in my machine those files are copied without problems.

Re: Files not updated

Mirror tasks can introduce a lot of strange small problems.. Now I don't think that this issue is caused by the mirror task...

Is the the task created as Incremental? Are you using the archive attributes method? Are you creating separated backups or overwriting old files at the destination?
