If the remote folder is a Windows machine with NTFS formatted disk, then it should work. If it's a NAS or similar then...it depends.

You say that the program is auto-starting with windows. Then the program is already running. If you do a "C:\Program Files\Cobian Reflector\Cobian.Reflector.Application.exe" -bu then you will get this message. 1- Use the instance that is already running or 2. Close that instance first and then , run...

VB scripts are being executed in a DOS box I think. If you could compile them into real applications (not scripted ones) then it should work fine.

The mailing is done in another thread so if you shutdown the computer then that's the unfortunatly effect.
A solution could be to start a dummy task as a post backup event and make that task sleep some seconds and shutdown the compuer there instead.

That's the purpose of Save empty backups, to allow the function to "Keep X full backups " (or differential) to work even when no files are copied.
