The storage size is correct, the problem is that there are more files that occupy the memory of your iPod that you cannot access, nor are they visible to you. Like the cover images, or the firmware of your device itself.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I've tried manually entering the mapped drive verses selecting the source location with the task editor.
