That's the purpose of Save empty backups, to allow the function to "Keep X full backups " (or differential) to work even when no files are copied.

Los problemas de permiso son bastante faciles de resolver.

Perhaps the program was already running? You cannot have both the service and the applicationn runninng at the same time.

Or perhaps the application is running onn anothher user's login?

Another trap is if the user disable "Use absolute paths" and has "Full copies to keep" more than one, if the user choose folders with the same name on different locations, the latest will overwrite the others, make the user losing data in case he needs to restore.
Yes, that is only logical.

If the service is installed and running, change the type of installation to Application .
