cobian wrote: 24 Oct 2021, 19:33 Should work exactly the same if you are running the program as an application. As a service, you need to run int under an user which have access rights to the folders.
Not sure what that means/meant - in relation to the my issue of needing to use a Mapped drive litter.. not the unc

Re: NAS sign-in

"if the user has access" meaning the impersonated user? If yes - then it would not have access to the files/directories on the computer - that user only exist on the NAS; not system. All I am saying here - trying to help.. is using a real user account for the service - and storing the credentials fo...

Does not like Mapped Drives

Ok - not exactly true. If you create a new task and select a mapped drive, it converts it to the unc path and works great. If you have imported tasks from Backup11 - the backup fails for those mapped location (until you go update them) However - I have a case where I need to use a drive letter. Mayb...

.bat (Batch) files no longer run in events under execute

easy enough to switch it to a command line. But if switching from Backup11 - it is a change to be aware of.

Re: NAS sign-in

I have a backup using Nas - working. First you cannot use the local service account to start the Cobian Reflector service. You'll need to use a "real user" - the local service account does not have access to network resources... In my case - I created a unique user specific for the task; I did have ...

Re: Incremental/Differential backups - cannot update the fulls?

Thank you... Lol - Yep I know those users .. pain in ... If we could only write code and not have to do integrity checks.. Is it possible when Weekly is select to only give the options to select a day that was on the weekly schedule? I know someone at some point will still complain that they could n...

Re: Incremental/Differential backups - cannot update the fulls?

Ok.. I did/do have weekly selected. Changing to daily did make the fields available.
Should it not also have the option to do fulls on a fixed day with Weekly when you have select Mon, Tue, Wed, Thru, Fri?

(this did/does work in Backup11)

Re: Incremental/Differential backups - cannot update the fulls?

Well that would make a lot of sense. Problem is these are incrementals. Not only are they incrementails but it is from a task that was imported from Backup 11 which work perfect there. That imported task has fixed day checked and should have made additional full but did not. (I cannot uncheck it but...
