If you don't use Volume Shadow Copy in your tasks, yes, it can be disabled.

The timer type is NOT included in the Missed backups conntrol. Only Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearle are checked.

Is the destination NTFS formatted or some foreign format (EXT4, etc)

The "individual files" are logges to the log file only and will not be shown in the log tab.

Even online-only files are backed up (if you don't use Volume Shadow Copy for that task).

I just began working on it in december so it could take some time.

Version 2 will now only have bug fixes but no new features.

My prefered way is you use drag and drop, but yes, the tree way is another good one.
