Synchronizing tasks

Post by bullock2 »

I’ve been using Cobian Backup for a while, and I often run sync tasks to keep my backup folders updated. However, I’ve noticed that every time I run a sync task, it copies all existing files instead of just the modified ones. This not only consumes a lot of time but also uses unnecessary disk space. I want to ensure that only new or changed files are copied during each sync. Could someone guide me on the specific settings or options I need to adjust in Cobian Backup to achieve this?

If rsync doesn't change the archive attribute, just run an incremental backup. If it does, change the method (if possible) from the attribute method to the timestamp one.
