Backup failed and I have this message in the log, however both the HD that is performing the BK and the HD that I am sending the BK have space.

Log: 2022-03-24 13;00;19 (Complete).pst"
ERR 2022-03-24 13:00 Could not copy file "GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy8\Users\sales4\Documents\OUTLOOK FILES\Outlook.pst": Not enough space on disk

Thx

Perhaps the destination is formatted as FAT and the file is larger than 4 GB?

Hi,

Do you recall how you resolved the "there is not enough space on the disk" issue?

As I have seen in other backup solutions, I was hoping to find a setting in Cobian Backup 11 to clear the destination backup drive *before* starting the scheduled backup job.

My backups keep ending in error, even though the destination drive (USB external hard drive) is more than ample.

I simply wish to overwrite the previous night's full backup with the newest!

Thanks.

If you clear the backup first and the actual backup fails, you are out with no backups at all. That's the reason for this order.

i came accross two issue, one of them is the same issue as "Comandante".

ERR 2022-08-18 15:10 Couldn't copy the file "\\servername\share drive path\熱唱吧 高海深Duet.wav": There is not enough space on the disk.

the other one as below:

ERR 2022-08-18 16:56 Couldn't copy the file "\\servername\share drive path\4. 项目\DSC02143.jpg": The system cannot find the path specified

Btw, the destination HD is NTFS format, and has enough free space.

Thx.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I have 12 TB of storage and am backing up 4 TB and Cobian constantly comes up with this error "ERR 2023-12-05 08:18:49 An error occurred while compressing: There is not enough space on the disk"

How much free space do you have in the temporary directory's drive?
