Backup to Onedrive

Post by Zacky »

Using OneDrive recently as a destination. we detected that OneDrive is unable to copy long path names and this is stopping the syncing of the OneDrive agent! we found that onedrive itself (from onedrive to onedrive) can support long path! Also, we need an option to limit the transfer speed too.
we found many tools like Goodsync, Gs Richcopy 360, Syncback .....etc can do these jobs but a colleague recommended Cobain to go with it, So Is Cobain supports copying long path names to Onedrive ? has an option to limit the transfer speed?

Thanks in advance

The program supports long file names if the file system supports them (NTFS is capable of storing paths of up to 32000 characters) but it seems like OneDrive is a special case. From

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/off ... athlengths

"Each segment of the path (a segment is a file name or folder name like “Promotion” or “Some File.xlsx” in the examples above) can't be more than 255 characters due to operating system limitations.

The length of the OneDrive root folder (e.g. C:\users\meganb\OneDrive - Contoso) + the relative path of the file (up to 400 chars) cannot be more than 520 characters."

So perhaps that's the problem?
