1st Differential Backup to Existing Destination

What happens when I conduct a differential backup of a source directory FOR THE FIRST TIME to a destination directory which is already an exact copy of the source?

- does Cobian Reflector "see" that the destination already contains the source files so that the backup only compares source and destination without overwrite?
- or does it overwrite existing destination files with the source files

It seems to me that on this 1st differential backup, Cobian actually copied the source files to the destination, overwriting existing files...

The first backup will always be full unless you tell the program in the options to ignore this and make it differential.
