Is this about the FTP problem or the mail problem?

If it's the FTP, have you tried with reflector?

I am having an issue of the The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect

Some NAS systems don't accept the semicolon in the file/folder names. Try changing the semicolon to anything else (for example a comma). A colon won't work neither.
