Can I move or disable safe mirror folder?

I am trying to do a backup of two of my drives, and I would like it to be a mirrored backup, but what's happening is my computer is locking up because the safe mirror folder is on my C drive and it proceeds to try to copy about a terabyte onto my C drive, filling it up completely. Is there a way I can either move the safe mirror folder location, or disable it, so it's not copying over hundreds of gigabytes to a temp folder before actually backing anything up? It's really wasteful of time and disk space. Thanks!

You can disable it on your task
task - edit - Advanced - uncheck the first option "Mirror task"

Yes but I don't want to disable the mirror option, because I want a mirrored backup. I just want to move the cache folder off of my system drive, or disable caching completely, because it keeps trying to copy terabytes of temp data to my system drive which seems like a really huge design flaw not to be able to select which drive a large cache is kept

Just disable the safe mirror folder.
