Profile export for resettlement

Post by AG01310 »

Hi
I have to change my hard drive, and I need to get my Cobian profile back, so I don't have to reconfigure everything. How do I do that?

It's an automatic translation by Word, be forgiving :D

Thanks

If I'm not wrong and I remember correctly, to bring with you in a new installation the settings of the tasks already set in Cobian Backup, you have to go to the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cobian Backup 11\DB". Here is the heart of the settings for your tasks.
  1. Copy and keep the contents of the original "DB" folder (with your settings);
  2. run the new installation of Cobian Backup;
  3. rename the Cobian Backup fresh installation folder from "DB" to "DB.OLD" (for example);
  4. paste the original "DB" folder, just saved, under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cobian Backup 11\";
  5. trust it works! :)
I hope I have explained, despite my English! :oops:

1. You need to stop the service or the program.
2. Copy the DB and the Settings directories from the old installation to the new one.
3. You need to update the path to your list in the Cobian Backup.ini file to point to the new location
4. Run the Permissions tool to fix the permissions
5. Restart the service or the program.
