Cobian Reflector comprises two key components. The user interface, visible in the system tray, is solely for user interaction and lacks backup functionality or scheduling capabilities. The real work is done by the invisible engine, which can operate as an application or service. If you encounter an "Engine not found" message without a list on the interface:

If it's running as an app, ensure you start "Cobian Reflector Application" to activate both the engine and interface.
If it's a service, check for startup issues, like changed service account passwords. If needed, reinstall the service with the updated password.
In rare cases of engine crashes, consult the Event Viewer and seek assistance on the Cobian Reflector forum.
