Post Backup Events - Start Task

Post by Sygla »

Hello, I tell you that although I still have several computers with "Cobian Backup 11 (Gravity)" I have a problem with which I will comment below, it had something that was very comfortable which was that in the Post Backup events --> Start Task, It lets you put the tasks by name, which has now been improved because you don't have to write it, but instead lets you select it from a list, but then when it is already included, it doesn't show the name of the task in the window but instead shows the ID. of the task and it is difficult to know which one it is, whether to change the order or remove it.

Now I am going with the two issues of cobian Gravity, the first is that old computers that I created the new one will not run, that is why I continue using it and in case I want to update, there is a way to update and that the backups (both those made and can the task names be imported into the new one?

and the other issue that happens to me is that sometimes in differential backups that I have with the option of making 7 differential backups and zero full backup (in the same task), the backup is not deleted and I have to go in to delete them from time to time ( I even deleted them from cobian with the checkmark to also delete the files and it deleted them without problem)

Sorry I don't attach the images but I can't find how to upload the jpg as an attachment or it won't let me paste it here to be able to show the configuration, so to be able to show the configuration the only option that occurred to me is to paste the configuration here as it is the task in the MainList.lst file, I paste it below:

Sorry if my English is bad, but I'm writing in Spanish, and the translation is done by Google, since my English is very poor (I more or less understand by reading and if not, Google helps me, but writing in English is impossible for me).

If the user making the backup is someother user than you (like System, for example) this may be a permissions problem.

No, it is not a permissions problem. Even deleting the old backups is done from the same cobian (I do not delete them externally). When I set to delete the backups by hand between dates, I put the check mark to also delete the files and it deletes them.

Could it be that the application makes copies because it only identifies one machine?

I did not understand the question, the same PC that generates the backup is the one from which I put from the historical backups part, I select the dates and I tell it to delete and I tell it to delete not only the registry but also the files and it does it , which is a problem in that when you do the differential backup and find a backup difference of more than with full backups
