The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Post by purvi »

Hi,
I am trying to take back up on nas server from remote server. It works fine for one remote server, but when i run same task from another remote server it's giving following error:Couldn't create the destination directory "\\NAS1-CE\DailyBackups\ApplicationBackups\": The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Any fix for above?

Are both cases running as a service? Same userID?

Yes. It's running as service but I found solution. I ran task as backup user which is created on nas with shared folder permission(r/w/e).
