How to Compress 400GB Data?

Hi,
I've been using zip compression successfully until my backup reached 400GB. Now I'm encountering out-of-memory errors. I tried using 7zip, but it's considerably slower than expected. Is there a way to resolve the memory errors or speed up 7zip? I don't need a high compression ratio—just want to consolidate everything into one file.

You can speed up the 7z method by selecting a lesser compression level. Also do not use LZMA2 (it is somehow slower)
