Hello everyone,
I have been using Cobian for years but I wanted to do a routine test to check that everything was fine and especially that I had made the right choice between full, differential or incremental backup.
I created a folder with a single text file to back up in three different ways: full, incremental and differential.
I run the three backups: no problem, the file is backed up.
For the next test, I created a second text file to save at 8:30 p.m.: no problem, my three backups show these two files, which is the goal.
To continue my test, I modified the second document at 8:43 p.m.
I manually trigger the three backups and there, surprise, only the so-called "complete" backup shows the file modified at 8:43 p.m. The incremental and differential backups show this second file at 8:30 p.m. and of course the content of the saved file has not taken my modification into account, which is now a bit annoying, right?
Would you have an explanation for this?
Thanking you in advance for your help.
Best regards
Ps: I don't speak English and I want to thank my best friend: G.Translate
Modified files not saved
Re: Modified files not saved
The first task (full) is cleaning the archive attribute, so that result is expected.
