OutOfMemory in Log

Post by smnIT »

Hi All,

I get periodically following Error in my Log-Files and Log-Window of Cobian:
ERR 2021-07-20 07:00 Couldn't open the log file "ERR 2021-05-09 00:00 Couldn't copy the file "\\192.168.XX.X\Share\Folder\file.ext": Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden": Out of memory
The program tries to open a File which seems to be a entry for the log, we have restarted the service and server already multiple times.

The error first occurred after 1 Year of running CobianBackup, but we think maybe an Windows Update caused the error.

Do you have any hints or solutions for me?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks !

Perhaps the log file has gotten too large under one year? Try deleting the log file (Log-Delete log file) and restart the program.

Thanks for the hint, will try that and report back.

The 5 log files had a maximum size of 43KB.
I forgot to mention that it is always the same file in the error line, even it does not exist.

Hi,

wanted to report back that the problem is still there after the deletion of the log files.

After analysation of the logs I assume the error occurs when the service idle.
The line shows up every day at 7:00 AM with the exact content.
Also it looks like the error has no relation to any running task or created tasks.

Best Regards

i just experienced this problem in the same format. It blocked emailing of the logs, but did not prevent backups.

After trying many things, I finally eliminated it by deleting my temp files: "C:\Users\xxuserxx\AppData\Local\temp"
