Questions about Cobian Backup
I am using Cobian 11 and have noticed that all of my backups have the same date modified of 12/19/2016. I am creating separated timestamped backups. Is there a reason for this? Is there some setting I can change to correct this? Thanks
That's the problem. A non-NTFS system stores the date in some other format and can have a different structure (attributes, access times, etc...). If the destination is NTFS it will set the date correctly.
The mail is being send on an own thread. If you are not even getting the "Sending mail..." text, I guess the thread is crashing somewhere before sending the mail. The question is why... What SMTP server are you using? Are you using some parameters on your Subject or Body? Perhaps it's crashing while replacing those parameters,
sorry I've tested your soft and another 2 one free limited another full free, so those 2 are more complicated!! Cobian is perfect made and organised, BUT !!! this issue with different type of backup it's a big problem !! I still didn't realise how all Cobian setting working but I can't set-up it for incremental mirror type backup ! I mean after full backup next backup should be only for new file or changed files, and that's how those app working very well !!! so what i'm doing wrong why i can't do same in Cobian?!?! Cobian is doing always like full backup no mater what i chose in settings !
