Hello, sorry in advance if this question has already been answered. I have trouble excluding specific folders from a backup task whose source is a NAS system with ftp connectivity.
The connection is established in the main NAS folder, and from there on, I need to exclude certain folders. There is a solution that I make a user for ftp connection that has access only to the folders I need backed up, but I would like not to add extra users to my NAS system.
What I tried doing is adding the folder as a network address (see attachment)
Is my syntax wrong?
excluding folders from ftp source
Re: excluding folders from ftp source
If you are accessing the NAS with FTP then yes, this is wrong. The FTP syntax should be, for example /backup. The syntax you are using //NAS/folder is for direct access.
