Couldn't mail the log files: TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are not supported.

Hi All,

The Cobian Backup cant email the log files with MS O365 SMTP server. I use this settings:
SMTP server: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587

The self test is woking but the Log doesnt arrive. There is an error msg in the log:
2021-12-23 04:31 *** Backup done. Errors: 0. Processed files: 392931. Backed up files: 392931. Total size: 303,40 GB ***

2021-12-23 06:00 Connected to the SMTP server smtp.office365.com: 587
ERR 2021-12-23 06:00 Couldn't mail the log files: TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are not supported. Please upgrade/update your client to support TLS 1.2. Visit https://aka.ms/smtp_auth_tls. [VI1PR08CA0259.eurprd08.prod.outlook.com]

ERR 2021-12-23 06:00 The operation was completed with errors

Someone use Office365 SMTP to send log files?

Hi,

Yep, the same happens to me while using Cobian Gravity.
It looks like Microsoft is discontinuing their support for TLS 1 and 1.1.
If you want to keep using them you should configure your exchange online and use another server.

It isn´t so easy to do, for me at least, it requires powershell access.

I was wondering if the new Reflector address this issue, but I only found your message, so I assume it does not. I´m assuming you are using Reflector.

The new one does support 1.2
