Hi,

In Edit Task > General, if I disable "Use File Attribute logic", in an incremental back up, how will Cobian determine what files need to be overwritten ? Does it only compare Last Modified Date of the two files ?

yes, the last modified date will be used.

I assume comparing the dates will be slower?
Any idea how much additional time the comparison would take per thousand files?

It requires querying both the source file and the destination. The archive attribute method only needs the program to query the source so...I would guess it will take some more time yes. Don't have exact numbers.
