Volume Shadow copy

All of a sudden Im getting this message"Couldn't contact the Volume Shadow Copy requester." It has worked fine for years.
I have checked the registry & .net 3.5 is installed
Pls can you help?

Try stopping and starting the VSC service to see if it works.

It is set to manual. I did a restart of the service & I still get the message.

Update
If I go to Tools/Options/service & application control/services then start the volume shadow copy requester it works fine

It needs to be set as Automatic, not manual,
