Canot extract 7z splitted backup

Post by Tom » Wed Aug 21, 2019 1:59 am

Hello,

I have backed up with options:

Compression type: 7z
Split options: 4,7 GB
Encryption: No encryption

And I want to extract a backup 66,27 GB (as per Cobian Backup), 21 files. The files occupy each 1,99 GB (2.140.000.000 bytes), all together 40,8 GB, so there is something wrong there, as the size indicated by Cobian is 66,27 GB and the split size should be 4,7 GB. I can extract from those 21 splitted files one 7z file with size 40,8 GB but cannot extract that file, the error thrown by 7zip is "Is not archive" and by cbDecompressior "...File not found. ERR Invalid pointer operation".

I have several of these backup sets with the same problem, I suppose that this is a lost cause but if you have any ideas how to extract these or what could be causing this issue please let me know.

Thanks!

Hello!

Sorry, no idea. Corrupted file is the one thing that comes to mind, but...
