Don't understand Error message in Reflector's log

Post by jhibbard »

I have the following error in the log:

ERR 2024-05-16 23:22:56 An error occurred while listing the content of the directory "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WebMediaExtensions_1.1.663.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe": C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WebMediaExtensions_1.1.663.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe

When I try to filter it, I find that it doesn't exist on the drive.
Qs:
1. Do I filter the directory C:\Program Files\WindowsApps?
2. If so, what are the downsides (is there anything in the directory WindowsApps that I need to backup)?
3. Is C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WebMediaExtensions_1.1.663.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe some sort of temp directory?

Please feel free to point out any lack of knowledge on my part as it applies to the above.

WindowsApps is a protected folder.

To be able to backup this folder, you will need to:

1) Change the owner of the folder to your account.

Change Owner of File, Folder, Drive, or Registry Key in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

2) Try to open the folder again, and click/tap on "Continue" when prompted.

If you like, you can use the "Take Ownership" context menu added from the tutorial below to make it easy by just right clicking on the folder and clicking on "Take Ownership". It'll take a bit for it to finish.
