I am unable to select the days of the week. Same on all new tasks created.

Question: what file do I edit (text or hex) to correct this?

check the box next to "Select the days of the week." And you might have to choose weekly or something as daily assumes every day.

The box is greyed out. Clicking on it anyway does not help. I tried weekly too. And for the fun of it, I tried all the rest too.

When I check monthly, I have the option of choosing numbered days in the days pull down of the Date Settings box. I can also check the select days of the week and I can select both days of week and nth DOW of the month.

Also, Days of the week seems always available when Weekly is selected.

Hi Ira,

That is the way it is suppose to work. I imported the task list from Cobian Backup. This is a bug in the import. I reported it but no traction yet. My only fix is to completely erase Cobain Reflector and its directory, then recreate everything from scratch. Do not import from Cobian Backup. It is a combersome job as I have a complicated task list. And I can not edit the task list execute and wait line, which makes it a real pain in the neck I reported that too and no traction yet on that.

So I was asking what file is corrupted (tasklist?) so I could edit it directly.

I would guess it's in the task list somewhere. Why not cut a copy of the current list to just one problem task, then create a new exact copy of that task that works and compare them. Because of the formatting of the new task lists it's a bit hard to follow, but I had an issue and was able to figure out how to correct the current task lists in a text editor, not easy, but also not hard once you figure out the structure and relationships. It was certainly a lot faster than doing it in Reflector one task at a time.

I am thinking of just reverting back to Backup as I have it's program files directory. Backup has reduced functionality but also has reduced bugs. The eMail in Backup is a pain to set up, but I have numerous screen shot on how to do it. That or I could take a bazillion screen shots, wipe and start over. First I am going to look at the task list to see if I can directly edit it.

The hardest part of editing it is things are related by a long seemingly random string and so each entry is spread out a bit. But I've done it, so I know it's possible.

Hi Ira,

Oh get this! I logged in remotely to the customer today to active his M$O and took another look at Cobian Reflector. Today the stinker is working! This sound a lot like an "uninitialized variable".

<editorial comment> AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! </editorial comment>

Thank you for all the help.
