"Full copy to keep" not working when error is found

Post by NSI »

Hi,

in Reflector V 0.9.96 RC1 I've created a simple task with "full copy to keep" set to 3 and it worked flawlessly until I was testing the mail log functionality.

My task is set to copy folder "DOC" from source a: to destination b:
To check "mail only if errors are found" parameter I changed the folder name from "DOC" to "DOC#" (leaving the name DOC in the task) in order to create a "dir not found error" and trig the mail. The mail log worked perfectly but the older backup (>3) was deleted from the destination b:.
After running the task 3 times (whith folder name still set to DOC#) all 3 backups in destination b: where deleted leaving me without backup!!!

Reverting the name to DOC everything worked perfectly, but what happen if I accidentally delete the DOC folder from source a:?

It is a normal behaviour? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

Hi,

I just realised that I wrote "...backup (>3) was deleted..." instead of "...backup (<3) was deleted..."

Of course the problem is with backups lower than or equal to the set 3 being deleted...

Sorry for the mistake.
Thanks again for your help.

Just uncheck Engine-Save empty backups to avoid this.
