Incremental Backup is copying everything

Post by immto »

OK, I created a new Incremental backup and after 3 days I notice my drive space is running low. I look at the folders for this new backup and notice that the Incremental folders are about the same size as the Full folder. Pic attached.

Any idea what's going on?

Are you clearing the archive attributes of your sources?

Is your source an ftp or sftp?

No. It's a mapped network location.

OK. I got impatient so I started playing with it some more and I found that another one of my original backups which I switched to Differential was also backing up everything, every time. So after some trial and error I found that deleting the task, and cloning a working task, then adjusting it for your location and destination, worked. The backups are now running as expected.
