SFTP Error

Post by Goomba »

Been using CR for some time and are now trying to setup SFTP schedules.

Equipment and Product:
Windows 11
CR 1.1.5 (downloaded this a.m.)
Server: Qnap with QTS 4.3.3.2057
Putty and puttygen.

1) Used puttygen to generate Public and Private Keys (native Putty format). Made sure the PUB key was all on One Line (as per qnap),
2) Uploaded Pub key to Qnap server (appropriate user folder),
3) Added/Appended to the authorized_keys file

Created a very simple job (1 x 1k file). Tested settings and get this error:

Public key authentication
Failed to recognize key format. Supported formats are OpenSSH, SSH.com and PuTTY.
Failed to connect - closing connection
Failed to recognize key format. Supported formats are OpenSSH, SSH.com and PuTTY.
Receive thread finished

I've double and triple checked my work, everything seems to be in order.

Also generated ssh keys on the server, same issue.

I have the entire Advanced Log it needed.

Can anyone offer a suggestion as to what I am doing wrong please?

Thanks.

There is a new format for OpenSSH keys that is not supported. Perhaps that is the case here?

Luis, thanks for the reply and a good thought.

However, I just generated a new key pair on the qnap server itself and got the same error.

I also generated a key pair on a Windows 2019 Server running Bitvise SSH with the same errors.

Last but not least, I ran ssh-keygen on a Windows 11 machine, same error.

Any other thoughts?
