Blank/White Cobian Windows

Hi, Have a workstation with v2.3.4 or possibly 2.3.5 running as a service. Backups run as scheduled, but I wanted to make a few tweaks and update to 2.3.6.

Right click the Reflector icon in SysTray to open, I get a blank/white window - no text, no buttons. No worries, I'll update the program.

Launch installer - same thing - blank/white window.

I have this running a number of workstations, have not run into this before. All other applications on the workstation display properly.

Yes, I tried deleting the Cobian Reflector folder in AppData.

Any ideas?

Love the program!! Thank you!

Interesting. No idea.

What kind of graphic cards is running as that server? Is it directx compatible?

The program is written in Windows Presentation Foundation which needs a graphic card capable of some acceleration.

It's Lenovo ThinkPad E590 laptop - nothing fancy. On-board Intel UHD 620 graphics card. I have Reflector installed on 3 or 4 E590s.

The initial install went as expected.

Hmm... no idea then. First time I've seen such a problem. My guess is a bad .net installation. Try reinstalling .net 4.8.1

I'm seen other applications with this problem. From Microsoft support site:

Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) differs from prior application platforms on Windows in that it uses its own DirectX-based hardware-accelerated rendering pipeline, when available, to draw the contents of any WPF windows. Prior application platforms were typically much less dependent on display driver quality because the bulk of their rendering was done in software rather than hardware. As a result, the visual quality of WPF applications is heavily dependent on the quality of the system’s display device and its display drivers. Faulty display devices may cause drawing artifacts within WPF applications or elsewhere on the desktop when an application uses the WPF hardware-rendering pipeline.

Really don't know if updating the graphic driver will help but worth a try.
