Operating System Version: Windows Server 2012 R2
Software Version: Cobian Reflector 2.3.12
I use Cobian Reflector for incremental backup and find the efficiency is very slow. During the process of running, I found that the software creates many empty folders, with a general situation as follows:
Time, 10:07 (45 files, 110,417 folders) ,
Time, 10:08 (45 files, 116,691 folders) ,
Time, 10:11 (45 files, 125,077 folders) ,
Time, 10:36 (45 files, 212,988 folders) ,
Time, 10:41 (49 files, 219,974 folders) ,
Time, 10:56 (51 files, 263,375 folders),
Time, 13:45 (280 folders, 287 folders) ,
Backup completed.
I don't know if creating so many folders midway is the correct process, but it will consume a lot of time.
Backup Efficiency Issue
Re: Backup Efficiency Issue
The folders may be deleted at the end (if ignore empty folders is checked). This is not the default, though.

I also had the same situation after doing a backup of my data.
Re: Backup Efficiency Issue
The only way this could happen if is the "Delete source" or "Delete source content" is selected.
