CPU Priority when compressing files

Post by gizmo »

Hello,

With Reflector, is there a way to make the CPU have below normal CPU priority?

My machine does other things also and I want the backup to happen, just not at normal CPU priority.

I have ticked this:
low the priority of the thread

Is this equivalent?

This should help a little, yes. This lower the working threads priority, but by how much, it's decided by the OS.

Can you be more detailed about the priority of the workflow? Thank you.

If the option of low priority is used, then the working thread will lower its priority. This means that the OS will get less time to the thread while prioritizing other processes.
