File versioning

Post by lemax »

HI !

Is it possible to make a copy of files in CR with the previous several versions ? The idea is to keep a given file in a copy with a fixed number of previous versions. In the Dynamics tab there is an option Differential copies to keep but it is disabled. What and how should be set ??

It's disabed because you are not creating separated backups. Create separated backups and it will become enabled.

Thank you very much for your help - it works. However, there is one question - this kind of copy often creates empty directories (when no changes since the previous copy). Can it be set so that it does not create empty directories ??

Advanced-Ignore empty directories. (The root of the backup will NOT be deleted but all the other internal empty directories will be deleted).

Sorry but it doesn't work - empty subdirectories are still created. Maybe some other option/condition needs to be checked ?
