error while copressing files

Files are changing. Now is "\temp\EBWebView\Default\Feature Engagement Tracker\EventDB\LOG.zip".

It seems that files are backup correctly but error messages are displayed.

The error occurs due to files being accessed by another process. Switching off compression resolves the issue. By the way which type of file you are trying to compress? If image related then you can try online application such as Jpeg Compressor.

So you can open file to copy it but you can't open it to make compression? This is not clear for me.

Try closing any programs that might be using those files or run the compression process when the system is less active. On the other hand you can try any online application.

Well, this is still no answer to my question. There are only two scenarios for that problem:
1. you can open source file and than you can backup it and zip it
2. or you can’t open source file and than you can’t backup it and zip it.

So far we can mixed case which suggest, that this is software bug.

About closing the programs: this shouldn't be needed if using Volume Shadow.

Errors persist independent of shadow copy usage.
