That's interesting. This is not a standard message that is created by the program. You should have gotten a .zip file instead. What kind of mail client are you using?

A while ago I received an email with the attachment "Log files for Cobian Reflector.zip". Did you fix something?

I think I figured out what the problem is.
If the language of the program is set to English, I will receive a file in "zip" format by email. But when I set German or Czech (maybe other languages too), the file comes in "data" format.

Can I suppose it's the same problem of old version of outlook that were using TNEF ?
I remember thunderbird can't read that email and shows just an attach, winmail.dat

When I rename file.dat to file.zip, the file works fine as a zip.

The encoding used for the zip file is (if I remember it correctly, unicode 16 bits). If you try to open it with another modern client, do you get the same problem?

The problem will be in Outlook 2007. If I use webmail, I receive a file with the zip extension even when the program language is set to Czech.
