I have just run a backup and, for the first time, I got the message 'Ignoring the directory "....". Reason: the directory is a reparse point." I have looked online and cannot find a definition of a reparse point that I understand.
Please, what is a reparse point and what do I need to do to get my backups working properly again.
Many thanks,
Simon
reparse point
Re: reparse point
Repaise points are Windows (NTFS) symbolyc links, junction points volume mount points, etc. Windows by default mounts a lot of its directories in C:\Users\<your user name> as reparse points.

Re: reparse point
Thanks for the reply but I am not sure it has moved my understanding of the issue.
My real problem is these reparse point(s) prevent several folders from being backed up.
What do I need to do to break this impasse?

Re: reparse point
If you want those directories to be backup up, just uncheck the "Ignore reparse points" in Options-Engine
