This is a follow up to a previous post (which I could not find using your search tool.

I posted that I was unable to send email anymore to hotmail.

I solved this by using the new microsoft setting for smtp: smtp.office365.com

However, I found that this won't work unless you are logged into onedrive (who knew?).

Almost any big mail provider is migrating to Aouth2, so this is indeed a problem sometimes.
