An invalid character was detected. For a multi-byte character set this includes a leading byte without a subsequent trailing byte. For a Unicode character set, this includes the characters 0xFFFF and 0xFFFE.

My files with accents and special characters are not being backed up, how can I configure them so they can be backed up?

Use UTF8 encoding for your FTP if it supports that feature.

On your FTP destination select Advanced - Command encoding = UTF8
