Import legacy problem ?

Hi,

using CB (last version 11.2.0.582), I wanted to go to CR (2.6.55).
I installed CR with default seetings (run as application, auto start), and the installation seems to be fine.
When I run the interface, it says that the engine is running. If I create a task, it works as intended.

But then I wanted to import all my tasks already created in CB :
- I used "list / import legacy list".
- it seems to work, and the log says :
" 2024-04-14 13:25:47 Importing the legacy list "C:\Program Files\Cobian Reflector\Lists\hbsk ls1 cob backup.lst"...
2024-04-14 13:25:47 Number of legacy tasks: 48
2024-04-14 13:25:47 Adding the legacy tasks to the current list...
2024-04-14 13:25:47 Number of imported tasks: 48
2024-04-14 13:25:47 Saving the list with the imported items...
2024-04-14 13:25:48 The import was successfully completed."
- but then the user inetrface says that the "engine is not found" : it seems that the engine crashed somehow...

- to make CR work again, I have to deleted the list in C:\Program Files\Cobian Reflector\Lists

Did I miss something ?

Thanks for your help and this very nice tool.

Dave

Yes, the engine has crashed. My guess is that there is some task that contains some complex event (post or pre backup) that is not in the same format that it's used in the new version. Would be interesting to take a look at your old list.

of course, but can I send it to you in a private message ?
It seems that I am not allowed to send PM for the moment...

EDIT : I just send you a mail on cobian@cobiansoft.com

I have localizated the problem in a bad behaviour of the list component. I will need to re-write this component from zero in order to fix the issue AND make it faster (because it's very slow when there are more than 40 tasks like in your case). It can take some time but it will be part of the next update.

Should be fixed now.

Hi,
seems to work fine on my side now.
If I understood correctly, there's no way to import old settings (mail log, etc...) ?

Thanks for your help !

No. To lazy to do that.
