Re: Unexpected Date/Time in file names
What do you have in the "Time stamp format in file names" option?

Re: Unexpected Date/Time in file names
Engine & Advanced, as below:
Again, only the backup to the external drive attached to the nas is a problem.
Issues:
1. Inclusion of date+timestamp in filename;
2. At least 2 additional UNscheduled backups of altered files every day.
I have only included 1 pst file in my example but I actually have 8 pst files.
Of course, the timestamp changes each time Outlook is opened, irrespective of whether the pst files are all used.
So many additional backup files are created and I then need to delete 16/24.
That is just pst files and since the backup is actually my Documents directory,
Each new or amended file gets at least 2 simultaneous backups of any newly downloaded file: 1 correctly named + 1 or more which includes the date/time in the filename.
And so on....

Re: Unexpected Date/Time in file names
The program handles any destination the same way (destination agnostic). So it doesn't matter if the destination is local or a NAS. That said, you never know with a NAS. Something fishy is going on, but I have no idea what.
